Fall is in the air

Oh the weather is so nice. Even yard work is semi acceptable. Gold is much better.

So what about this crazy Gas shortage? I'm thinking the average gas tank should be 1/2 full. Some just under full and some near empty but statistically 1/2 full is right. Unfortunately I think in this area most are 2/3rds to 2/4 full. We saw people lining up as the QT tanker was just starting to deliver to the QT on Canton.

What's your idea ont he subject?

Texas is about to get pistol whipped and many people will suffer and that is sad. I've a friend who lives near Brownsville. He has s acres and a donkey. Sounds wierd but actually a good guy with a Mexican American lawyer for his wife. He is a big time Liberal who actually went to Denver with the hopes of getting in to the convention. BUT I must admit he is dedicated to the idea that this country can be wonderful for the enire population.

No one responds to the blog. I have no idea why not. Perhaps I do not know how blogs work. Shame it could have been nice.

Golf sucked big time this week but that should mean the next time will be better.

House is looking good. We are hoping to improve the landscape

September is Here and all is well

Hard to believe that today is September 2nd. A few hours from Jennifer's Birthday and a week until our 41st Wedding Anniversary. Hurricanes, Sorms and Depressions are linging up in the Atlantic and this is thrilling all the TV Weather people.

Lucky has developed extreme FOF ( also known as Fear Of Flies). We can tell if one is in the house, he disappears to his safe room (our closet). He had recovered from the Olympics and our staying awake past midnight but the flies are wearing him out. So if one gets in I have to find ti and kill it.

We have a few Giant Sunflowers. Now all I have to do is figure how to upload one into this Blog.

We are trying to find somewhere to go maybe in October. Thinking of Northern California and I always like New York City.

Tropical Storm Fey and Other Stuff Going on

Well we got some desperately need and not just a minor soaking. It rained for hours and some places by Lake Lanier got 8 to 9 inches.

We are watching the Democratic Convention. I have been very opened minded. They keep saying will Hillary give a positive speech? I cannot imagine her not doing anything other than a great speech. Bill might slip tomorrow but she will hit it out tonight.

Did anyone see the Mayor of London at the closing? What a slob, he looked like a real goof.

Chinese Olympics

Is it me or has this been a long few weeks? Unfortunately there were too many disappointments. I was so mad when both the USA Men and Women's 4 x 100 Relay teams dropped the Bataan. That is so crazy and against all reasonable odds. I hope theymake those fools pay their own way back.

Gotta love the Beach Vollyball teams. The Redeem team (Formally known as Dream Team) have been wonderful.

Now for some insight. I f you got nothing on top and no butt you can join the Chinese Diving team. Guarantee no splash. Do 12 or 13 year old girls make better Gymnastic stars? Syncronized diving and swimming, now there is a waste time. Same goes for those goofy girls with the ropes and ribbons. The guy in the Decathlon is a real live Super Star.

The Opening was amazing and the closing will probably be equally great. What can a London or Chicago do? What would it take to match it? Will Phelps be in London? I think so but for 8 attempts for Gold.

Oh well. Enjoy the Show.

I created a BLOG. It is called OUR FAMILY . I think it is found at rubin-family.blogspot.com

I have no real experience with a Blog but thought what the heck I would make one for our family. I will figure out how to restrict who can respond later but I wanted to get this off the ground.
